Open & Distance Learning (ODL) System of SIMT has been designed and developed to cater to the higher educational needs of students and for those students who are desirous to improve their qualification with the intention of career advancement. It will also offer opportunities who due to economic, social or geographical reason could not take up the conventional mode of regular education. SIMT will always try to provide need-based programs and services to its learners. The courses introduced in the distance education program will continuously be updated and will always keep pace with changes in industrial requirements. Students will be provided assistance in several forms through dedicated website, software, call center, counselling , feedback, grievance redressal system, audio-video lectures along with providing assistance that a student might need. Job Guidance will be provided to the students taking up the course. The fee structures for the courses offered have been kept affordable considering the economic constraints of majority students joining various courses.
